Christmas: A Lifestyle

As I sit down to pen this blog, it is my prayer that your heart is full of beautiful Christmas memories. Christmas may have looked different for you this year (i.e., less family, food, and fellowship), but we know Christmas is about so much more. When all is stripped away, Jesus remains. This is why we celebrate!

Christmas isn’t a once-a-year event. Christmas should live in our hearts year-round.

As we approach a new year, I have put together a Christmas acronym to encourage you. I would urge you to print it out and post it somewhere where you can see it. I’m going to include a link at the bottom of this blog to a PDF you can download and share with others.

It is my sincere hope that you experienced the presence of Christ this Christmas. May 2021 be a year of empowerment, a year during which we live in confident hope and assurance of who God is and His power to accomplish great things through us!

Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13

CHRISTMAS: A Lifestyle

C Cling I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely. Psalm 63:8

H Hope I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust

in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13

R Rest Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you

rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you

will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

I Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.Live a life filled with

love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing

aroma to God. Ephesians 5:1-2

S Serve God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one

another. 1 Peter 4:10

T Thank Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

M Magnify Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. Psalm 24:3

A Abide Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine,

neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me

and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5

S Seek But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to

you. Matthew 6:33

Christmas, the true meaning of Christmas, is a lifestyle. May we live victoriously for Christ in 2021!
